We had take-out from here and were excited that they were opening, hoping it would be really great since there are few good asian restaurants in the area. Maybe we should have ordered strictly Chinese food because the Pad Thai was tasteless and the noodles were overcooked. I have never had anything so bland. We will stick to Aikou in Flemington even though it is a bit of a drive.

I was excited to see a new entity in this location, and the menu seemed very interesting. I've enjoyed takeout at another Wild Ginger location before, so felt confident going into the experience. The inside is, as others have mentioned, flashy and upscale. Gorgeous fish tanks! My first experience with the restaurant was takeout. First, wait time was staggering. I was informed it would be an hour for my food to be ready for pick-up. (Note, I did not get much, one entrée, four sushi rolls, an appetizer.) They were really busy, it seemed! (I counted this a positive sign!) The food was, unfortunately, lackluster. The appetizer (salmon tartar, as it's spelled on the menu) wasn't bad exactly, but it was rather plain, and the four Pringle chips stuck into it were disconcerting. Most of the sushi was decent. Nothing amazingly mouthwatering, but we'd stuck to the basics. The tuna roll, though, was completely uneatable. I'm not sure what happened, if they used the wrong part of the fish, or what. It was horrible! The texture was wrong, in such a way that it was literally stomach-churning to bite into it. I'd been looking forward to new sushi options in the area, but after that experience will never be ordering sushi from Wild Ginger again. The General Tso's chicken was good - spicy and tasty - and we ended up sharing that to finish dinner once we tossed the tuna roll. Knowing that the restaurant is still gaining its feet after opening, we might try again after some time has passed, to see if their more thai-oriented entrees are enjoyable. Based on my one experience, however, I wasn't very impressed.

I've been to the other Wild Ginger in Jamison and it's good but this location is amazing. The decor of the restaurant is awesome, tons of fish, cool lighting, and great atmosphere. I had a great meal and great service!! Not to mention very reasonable prices.

I have eaten at Wild Ginger twice in the 7 weeks that it has been open, and I will be going back soon, and often. To finally have a real sushi restaurant in New Hope is a dream come true for me, and the sashimi is fresh, and the servings generous, the presentation superb. I love the interior design with the calming influence of the huge aquariums, and unlike other reviewers, I have no complaints about the service. My dining partner had definite dietary restrictions, and the server could not have been more accommodating. He could have no salt, MSG, or sugar, and the chef went above and beyond preparing a custom sesame chicken for him. I cannot rave enough about this wonderful addition to New Hope. My only complaint, and I am splitting hairs here, is that it is in a strip mall setting. But once you are inside, that knowledge fades away, and you are transported to a sushi bar that can rival any in NYC, in my humble opinion!

Excellent tempura. Shod have given a 5 star but service was a little slow. Came back the following day and the service was awesome. Had the vegetable tempura Andy hubby had the pad Thai. This is a very clean restaurant. I have found a jewel

Usually get take out and the sushi is always awesome. Try the Angel Roll - it's great!

The waitress recommended the Christmas Roll and it was very good. Food, Service, Ambiance are 1st rate. Will return.

We did do a lot of take out from them...they've forgotten things like salad dressing and chop sticks...and one time we had the dumplings, which we love with their special sauce & we got salty soy instead...it's little things that kind of annoys you...their attention to detail is not quite there for takeout...I will say that they have great, large garden salads with a great mix of greens...but I don't like looking inside my bag to make sure they put everything there...I get these stares from the folks behind the desk like I'm annoying them...so close to Lambertville, but we just don't go there much anymore...kind of a bummer, because we really we looking for a place that serves their kind of food...

A little better this time. However, I do not taste the difference in cuisine between the different cultures they represent. The Thai basil wings were awful. Rubbery, the sauce like glue, and heavily salted. All the food was tepid, not hot. Cooked vegetables were raw.

Started out great but had recently lost it's touch. Food is not as fresh or good. Not worth the price any longer

After going there once a week since they opened (and giving them a second chance after a very long wait for food the first week), we had been pleased with the excellent food and service of two wait staff --- Melanie, especially. However, they were off their game on a slow dining room night last week and the inexperienced wait staff on hand could not comprehend that sometimes multiple guests need to feel attended to, even if you're juggling. (Or, is it unreasonable of us to feel ignored when our server walks past us four times to settle up with the table next to us before she even acknowledged our presence after ten minutes? Maybe we expect too much?) Worse, the host and manager would not even take time to hear constructive feedback. They may succeed based on the food, but if you're a guest who expects a minimum of attentiveness or appreciation of your earnest patronage, Wild Ginger III is a game of roulette.

We went here with a bunch of friends. The place is like PF Chang's on acid. Lots of neon lights and cool tropical fish tanks. It's kinda got a Miami feel. The food is quite good. However, the service is horrendous. I recommend going. But do take out until they get their service in order.

Food was very good, clean place with nice interior. They clearly just opened because it was the worst service ever. Took an hour for apps. Will try again when they figure it out.

So far so good with this new location! They offer thai, japanese and chinese food for eat-in or take-out. It's a fairly small restaurant with a sushi bar and maybe 15-20 tables. There is a room that can be reserved for large parties I believe. It's nicely decorated inside as well...has sort of a posh feel to it. The first time we ate there, we dined in. The service was good despite being their first week open and the food was good. We had a variety from each cuisine...all of which was good. My only disappointment was that they did not yet have the mochi in yet but that's to be expected when they just opened. Since then we have ordered take-out from them twice. Each time the food got better and better. My only negative comment for the take-out is that sometimes it can take a long time. One of my orders was supposed to be ready in 15-20 minutes...it took 45 minutes. They seem to be getting better with that though because my last order was ready when I got there. We will definitely be returning.

This place has been opened a month and I thought I would give it some time to get up to speed. We went on a Wednesday evening, and were seated promptly. The service is ok, not great, but not bad. The menu is extensive, but I find that some Asian places that try to do 3 cuisines can struggle with making them all good. We had sushi as a appetizer as we are picky about sushi and most places are not good. Their sushi was actually good, and nice sized pieces too. Tempura was good as well. We ordered General TSao's Chicken and Sesame chicken- which was just the same dish- but the sesame chicken had sesame seeds on it. That was disappointing, but the food was actually good. We will come back, and hope that the service settles in.....

Have had several meals from Wild Ginger in New Hope since the opening. (mostly takeout) The cashier although efficient not very customer friendly...feel more like I'm just being processed ...I know its not upscale dining but a friendlier approach would be appreciated. Its a busy place but you can still be customer friendly even during busy times. The food is just "OK"...I have had peppersteak twice and two different chicken dishes 4-5 times: one peppersteak was OK and the other bland and the meat a bit chewy...the chicken has always been chewy and dry. Frozen variations from the super market could be a better option. My opinion is I don't think they use the best ingredients...to me the flavour is lacking. Its possible they are still getting the kinks worked out since its relatively new. Good marks for the atmosphere.

Terrible. We order Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai. Both were sooooooooo dry and flavorless. Huge disappointment.

I'd love to give them one star, just to keep the tourists away. However, they deserve five and I hope visitors won't want to move from their parking meters to get there. I live in Lambertville and have tried all the local establishments. When you try to reach a balance between quality of the food, ambiance and value, Wild Ginger places at the top of my list.

I came here on a Wednesday afternoon for some lunch by myself. The place was mostly empty, so I was seated immediately. I only ordered the Eagle roll. Two girls came in after me, and ordered several rolls, but were served before me. Normally this would not bother me too much, but I felt that since the restaurant was basically empty, I should have received my food a little quicker. Also, the host was a 20-something guy who would not stop talking about himself very loudly and obnoxiously to his female coworkers, which was not exactly the soundtrack that I wanted to eat my meal to. Besides the less than wonderful service, the Eagle roll was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and extremely tasty. I would definitely get take out from Wild Ginger if I was going to return, but the service made it unlikely that I would dine in again.Overall, excellent food, lack luster service.

I went in to Wild Ginger tonight for dinner with my 4 friends and let me just say the servers were on top of their game! Especially our server, one of the guys, I can't remember his name but he was great...will definitely request him next time! He put our food in right away and we were expecting to wait a little while, however it came out faster than we expected!

I was not expecting much from Wild Ginger, because the last two Chinese restaurants in that location were very ho-hum, but also because I had read some not so flattering reviews. Several friends went right after opening and complained about long waits and bad service. I decided to see for myself and was pleasantly surprised. On my first visit, a Friday night at 7pm dinner, the place was definitely having growing pains. Although the wait staff could not have been nicer, they were run off their feet and the kitchen, I was told, was overwhelmed by take out orders. The upshot was my dining partner and I waited 40 minutes for our order. But when it came.( I had green kale with chicken, sautéed with garlic and ginger for $13.00) the food was, piping hot and beautifully presented not to mention quite good and a real bargain pricewise. I came back again for a week-day lunch with a friend who, like me, is a Sushi aficionado. No crowds, no kitchen panic, just a friendly server who accommodated special needs and responded to all sorts of questions (I am picky about my sushi). While there were other diners, the place was only moderately crowded and even though we were only two, we got to sit in one of the comfortable booths next to one of the exotic fish tanks. The sushi lunch was excellent.... fresh, top quality, great variety and once again the price was right. We lingered over our green tea and nobody rushed us. It was very relaxing. I'd say give this place a chance to get settled and stick to week night early dinner or lunch for now. They are doing a land office take out business and it is going to take them a little time to get their act together, but I am sure they will. They have great potential. The menu is varied, the décor is smashing and I, for one, am delighted to have a good sushi place so close to home. I'll be going back and I want them to succeed.

To stat the soup excellent Hot wings, while a small order, were very good Main course very good Service poor No desert to speak of at this location yet at this location. Overall will try again due to the food being so good. But if service doesn't improve no one would want come back. Except maybe for takeout.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
